riglingChristopher S. Rigling is a licensed clinical psychologist who consults with individuals and organizations to promote and facilitate effective change. Dr. Rigling has over 20 years experience in practice as a clinical psychologist, and over 15 years as a manager and executive in the business of behavioral health.

Dr. Rigling received his B.A in Psychology from Binghamton University, and went on to earn his Psy.D. from the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology at the University of Hartford. Following the completion of his doctorate, Christopher completed a residency in psychology at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT.

Dr. Rigling’s clinical practice is centered around his work and extensive training in couples’ and group psychotherapy. As a member of both the International Center for Emotionally Focused Psychotherapy(ICEFT) and the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Psychotherapy(NYCEFT), Dr. Rigling has received advanced training in the EFT model.

In addition to his education and advanced training in clinical psychology, Dr. Rigling received his MBA from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford. Dr. Rigling is a past  vice president of a managed care research and technology company, Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. Prior to that, he was the vice president of a managed behavioral healthcare organization.

In his consultation practice, Dr. Rigling helps executives develop insight into their strengths as leaders, and to put that knowledge into action, creating new levels of effectiveness. The foundation of his work is built upon combining the science of human development and behavior change with systems theory and contemporary business management and leadership theory.  He has been trained in the Immunity to Change method of facilitating change in individuals and organizations within the workplace.

In his consultation practice he provides executive development consultation, coaching, psychotherapy, and marketing research consultation. Dr. Rigling has consulted to a variety of Fortune 1000 companies, as well as non-profit organizations.
